Richard L. Becker has been practicing family law on a full-time basis since 1998. He is well versed with the issues and concerns facing his clients. He takes a personalized approach to his cases, promptly responding to client questions and problems with practical advice.

He is a graduate of Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business (Accounting) and a graduate of Yale Law School.

He has extensive experience in both settling and litigating cases in Kansas and Missouri.

He has won appellate cases in Kansas and Missouri, and has been a speaker at the Missouri Judicial College in regard to dividing retirement plans in divorce cases.

As a client's legal adviser, he will be straightforward with a client from the very first meeting, providing his advice and thoughts about a case based upon years of experience. He will tell a client what he thinks, and not just say what the client wants to hear.

As a client's legal advocate, he will present the client's case in court and for settlement purposes in a manner best suited to lead to a successful result, given the particular facts of the case.

Richard L. Becker's education and prior work experience in the fields of corporate law and taxation makes him well suited to handling the financial issues prevalent in family law cases, as well as the ability to review, analyze and understand complicated financial documents and tax returns.

He also is available to mediate family law cases, and his training includes family law mediation at Domestic Court Services of Johnson County, Kansas.
